ISLAMABAD: Former President Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan said on Saturday the process of appointment of the judges is enshrined in the constitution of Pakistan while the Charter of Democracy was aimed at future course of action.

Talking in a Geo News program “Aaj Kamran Khan Kay Sath” Aitzaz said, “Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry is Chief Justice of Pakistan even today but he was forbidden to render his services.”

“Iftikhar did not take oath under Provisional Constitution Order (PCO) after November 3, 2007”, he underlined adding, “Article 3b, mentioned in Charter of Democracy (CoD), will not be applicable upon him as Articles of CoD are being largely misinterpreted.”
